Biography
Tania Kengatharan is an associate lawyer at Morrison Watts Hurtado Labour and Employment Lawyers. Tania maintains a broad labour, employment, and human rights practice grounded in compassionate advocacy and a commitment to social justice. Prior to joining the firm, Tania summered and articled at a prominent labour and employment firm in Toronto.
Tania competed a Bachelor of Arts in Critical Studies in Equity and Solidarity at the University of Toronto, where they developed a passion for advancing workers’ rights. Tania subsequently earned a Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School. During law school, Tania completed a volunteer placement with an organization that advocates for the interests of migrant workers and supported legal research initiatives. Tania served as the President of the Tamil Law Students’ Association, as well as a student mentor on the South Asian Law Students’ Association and the Disabled Students’ Collective. Personally, academically, and professionally, Tania remains committed to advancing the interests of diverse and marginalized communities.
Outside of law, Tania enjoys trying local coffee spots and pursuing new creative hobbies.
